Their sponsorship is allowing us to plan monthly recreation events, thus getting more of the waiting list children engaged in activities as well as our matches.

Events

·          August 28 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. -  Flat  Water Event to be held at the waterfront with activities such as Dragon Boat Races, Kayaking, Canoeing and Paddle Boats.  Lunch will be provided.  Watch for details.

·          September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month

·          October 22 - Annual Halloween Party, 6:00-8:00 at Club Richelieu, River Road. Costumes are mandatory. Pumpkin carving, games, treats etc

·          December – Annual Christmas Party.

·          We will be entering one of the parades in Port Colborne, Fonthill or Welland. Watch for more details and plan to participate!!

              Golf For Kids Sake

We will be swinging into action again this year on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Lochness Links with a shotgun start of 12:45 p.m. Registration is $150.00 per golfer and includes 18 holes golf, cart & dinner.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation

 Jumpstart helps get a kid off the sidelines. “Funding” is available to children between the ages of 4 and 18. If your Little Brother or Sister has expressed an interest to participate in an approved organized sport or recreational activity, please inform your Caseworker.  We can partner with the Hope Centre and get them some funding so that they “get off the sidelines”. Hockey, soccer, or YMCA membership are just a few examples of what the children can sign up for.  Winter program deadline is November 1^st, 2010.
